Daniel Fuglewicz is Director of Embedded Engineering, working with Product Management and Engineering to design SomaDetect's embedded sensors. Over his varied experience, working for large corporations and startups, Daniel has learned that with hard work, diligence, and attention to detail, any technical challenge can not only be overcome, but successfully commercialized, giving customers what they want - highly functional & reliable systems at an affordable cost. Daniel has been awarded several State and Federal R&D contracts. He won Calspan Corporation's first SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) grant, and worked on innovative systems for NASA, NHTSA, FMCSA, and the FBI. Daniel has earned several awards, which include Man of the Year (Kistler Instrument Corporation), Technical Excellence Award (General Dynamics), and Outstanding Technical Contribution (SAE). He also has 12 patents, with inventions ranging from biomechanics data acquisition systems, to pressure sensors, to telematic systems. Daniel holds a Master's in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
